Accent Reduction Institute (ARI) LLC, is devoted to creating seamless communication required during times of critical need, operational necessity, or as the mission dictates. We are committed to developing language technology tools that help increase warfighter situational awareness and contribute to the success of national security initiatives. ARI is a highly credentialed team of university professors, speech pathologists, and software design experts that create essential communication competencies.
Accent Reduction Institute provides a series of language acquisition tools to improve communication by identifying, understanding, and/or minimizing foreign accents. The program below is designed to meet the language needs of foreign nationals for whom English is a second language. All programs are customized to meet industry and sector specific needs.

Mastering English Pronunciation
Problem: Ineffective communication due to heavily accented speech jeopardizes safety, security, and the outcome of the mission.
Solution: Accent Reduction Training
- Mastering English Pronunciation, MEP, based on the Ravin Method® of rapid and long term language acquisition, is a comprehensive training program that teaches foreign nationals the English pronunciation skills needed for effective communication in English speaking forums.
- This program demonstrates the articulation techniques required for making English sounds that do not occur in foreign languages.
- MEP builds English pronunciation competency while enabling people to maintain their unique cultural identities.
- MEP training is available in a classroom environment, via distance learning, or as a customized, self-paced software learning tool.

- Our group accent reduction training programs are now available on the GSA Schedule (Schedule 874: Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services – MOBIS) as well, under Contract Number GS02F0215W
- These programs, entitled Communication Skills Enhancement, are classified as instructor led training, web based training, and education courses (SIN 874.4)
- Communication Skills Enhancement is a comprehensive pronunciation course for non-native English speakers.
- The program can be delivered live, on-site or via distance learning format, which utilizes videoconferencing and teleconferencing.
- Programs are delivered to groups of ten participants over a two-month period, with classes meeting once per week for two hours at a time to ensure long-term retention of skills.
- Course content focuses on mastery of the fundamentals of pronunciation, and the curriculum design reflects the various language proficiency levels of the participants.
